Summer academic prospect camp II - New York
At Jays Baseball Academy, our goal is to provide the best instructional, educational, and empowering baseball experience. We take pride in offering one of the best college baseball instructional camps in the country. Our camps are led by Johns Hopkins University Head Baseball Coach, Nate Mulberg, who coached in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Other instructors, including those from elite universities nationwide, will also be in attendance to help teach and evaluate all players at camp.
We are also excited to share that Jonathan de Marte, an Olympian and former professional baseball player, will serve as one of the lead instructors at camp. Prior to playing collegiately at the University of Richmond, Jonathan was a two-time New York State Gatorade Player of the Year while attending Lakeland High School in Yorktown Heights. He went on to play professionally for four years and signed with the Chicago Cubs in 2020. He pitched for Team Israel in the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021. Jonathan lives locally in the Westchester County, New York area.
All of our camps are staffed with an optimal coach-to-player ratio to ensure that each individual receives maximum exposure and instruction. We look forward to seeing you at camp!
Please note that this particular camp will NOT be held at Johns Hopkins University. Camp will take place outside at the beautiful all-turf baseball field at Rye Country Day School located at 3 Cedar Street Rye, New York 10580 (weather permitting). A nearby alternate indoor location in New York will be used in the case of inclement weather.

Post-Camp Video-Call Evaluation - Following camp, you will have an opportunity to meet with Coach Mulberg via video conference for up to 40-minutes. This call will review your camp metrics and performance, while also providing detailed instruction about how to improve based on our coaching staff's evaluation of your performance at camp. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions about general baseball topics, our baseball program, player-development systems, and player-evaluation processes.
Video Analysis - You will receive a video breakdown from Coach Faris (Johns Hopkins hitting coach) and/or Coach Furman (Johns Hopkins pitching coach) of your mechanics. This video will be available for you to download and utilize as needed in the future. They will provide advice as to how you can optimize your movement patterns and make improvements. In addition to the video breakdown, you will receive exercises, drills and ideas to implement into your training regimen. These skill-development suggestions will be identical to what we do with our players at Hopkins on a daily basis.
